The 2nd of June. A perfect day for the Tiramisù.

A good Tiramisù


The 2nd of June. In Italy it's probably one of the most important days.

It's the day of the Italian #Republic

The day when, in 1946, Italian people (man and women for the first time together) voted for Republic instead of Monarchy.

The day when everything changed in my country.

And today, there is no better day to make the most famous Italian dessert in the world.

The #Tiramisù.

The truth? I ran out of Savoiardi (the spongefingers) so I just prepared only one layer of Savoiardi + Mascarpone cream. But when you know how to make a good Tiramisù base (egg yolks whisked with a sugar syrup + Mascarpone + whipped cream), you're just a step ahead.



Then you use the best coffee and a little bit of Marsala, where you dip the Savoiardi.

Ok, now you're ready to assemble the Tiramisù: Savoiardi + Mascarpone cream + cocoa powder + chocolate chips.
A second layer is truly recommended.

And finally, you're done. Just put the Tiramisù in the fridge for at least 3, 4 hours. And then you can wipe it out.
